nice flow chart Montrealien, lol. Pretty much sums up how a lot of people view the situation xD
Talk about posting complete and utter bs all the way down the line. For one, The Last Remnant is a timed exclusive. Secondly, all Square Enix games? FF13 Versus? Dragon Quest? Thirdly: Socom being developed by a no-name developer? Try again cuz you fail beyond imagination. Confrontation is being developed by Slant Six, critically known for their development of Socom Tactical Strike and Syphon Filter Dark Mirror, which were critically acclaimed on the PSP. Finally, your saying that Resistance ...
No one buys games for it eh? Tell that to the 3 million individuals in Japan who bought Monster Hunter 2G and a couple other million who bought FF7:CC. The list goes on and on.
I'm sure they are not going to drop their laptop division since hundreds of thousands to millions still buy them. Looking at most of Asia, it is the more popular brand of computer to buy compared to the other ones. Plus, at the business school at my college, practically everyone has a Vaio. So, I highly doubt that it would be in their best interests to drop a profitable division such as this one.
This is a completely different case though. The stock of a company doesn't just drop 60% within the span of a month or two without good reason. So obviously, there is something going on that is putting the company and the game in jeopardy.
Of course all MMO's start off buggy, but losing the bulk of the fanbase to these issues won't help the game survive (for whatever reason they left). Hellgate London is a similar example, although the game suffered from even worse issues than AoC.
Please make it so...MvC 3 would completely rock!
excellent post of statistics comparing the two as well as to PC's, bubbles for you
no just no lol, a Bleach game by Ubisoft would surely butcher it. I'd rather have Bandai Namco handle it
I agree with everything Jkoz is saying. Much of how we validate the purchase of a PS3 is the software that is being offered. So, if there are FF fans who happen to have a 360 already and haven't purchased a PS3, wouldn't it seem logical for them to simply buy it on the 360 and not spend another $400+ for another system? Also, its true that MSFT has flaunted their financial power in most of the situations, but regardless of this tactic, it has worked to slow the progression of the PS3. Additio...
I think an FFVII remake for the PS3 would be huge enough to counter the effects of FFXIII being on the 360
Does this mean Akuma is going to be in Street Fighter 4? O_O
schizophrenia is a bad thing....
please no...moving this type of game into the fighting genre is the worst thing that could happen. Ugh, oh well, just have to wait and see how it all turns out in the end.
10:44 to go!!
I'm hoping for Onimusha 5 to be one of the untitled projects. The previous ones were pretty awesome in my opinion. xD
I find this really odd, especially since previous Star Ocean games were on the Nintendo and Sony systems. It would seem logical to have it multiplatform, but I guess it's not the case. One can only hope that it gets ported or something to the other systems...
That was quite impressive for the Unreal Engine 3...
Seems like they are also getting some veteran voice actors to voice certain parts--the voice actor for Piccolo from DBZ appears to be doing the voice of the main antagonist and the voice actor for Ichigo from Bleach seems to be doing the voice of the main protagonist.
**thx for clarifying their names, I didn't know them off the top of my head lol, bubbles.
Actually, I know who Silogon reminds me of. He has the exact same personality and chain of thought as Lightning and his multiple accounts: first he praises the PS3, then bashes it due to w/e reason, then says he's going to sell it or w/e he'll do with it. Took me a bit to put it together, but I realized that everything he did mirrors that of Lightning--guess we can't ever completely get rid of him. =\
you could at least spell it right...
Solid score, can't wait to get my hands on this game.
